Why click this link?

But you did anyway.

Words

have no power

over the stream of

[what was] > [what is] > [what will]

But now that you are here,

let me ask you a few questions.

What made you click the link?

What are you hoping to find?

What have you been looking for in my words?

Why do you follow me at all?

Why do you have a "Twitter account"?

What is it that is missing in your life that these words

or other following on Twitter helps fill?

Perhaps these words are unlike what you have read elsewhere.

Perhaps you are in pain.

And reading these relieves you from that pain.

Perhaps, your pain is gone, and you are seeking the "next thing".

I can go on guessing.

The point is,

if your life has TRULY CHANGED by reading my words,

I would like to know. Seriously. Please let me know.

However, if you think your life is changing,

you are caught in an illusion.

You have escaped the pain of your pain

and found refuge in the pleasure of [I think I am changing].

Some of you re-tweet what I write.

I do not know who you are.

(I do not check my notifications.)

I can only guess why you do so.

Perhaps it is yet another norm you have gotten used to.

Perhaps it is a resonation that you feel, which you feel incumbent

to amplify by sharing with your audience/followers.

Perhaps it is doing me a favor by increasing my following.

But I am not looking for followers.

I am not looking to boost my online presence.

I am not looking to be the best Personal Advisor on Earth.

I am content with the in-my-face reality of my life.

There is plenty that is already being done

through me. I am beyond satisfied.

I could not ask for more.

Doing something

for the imaginary "online" world,

is on the very last agenda of my days.

When have chunks of 0s and 1s

ultimately disguising as some flavored remedy,

truly remedied one of their troubles?

When has it alone, permanently woken one up from deep slumber?

If you think I followed others to get where I am,

you are mistaken.

I was never on Twitter.

I was already absorbed in real life

(un)doing what needed to be (un)done.

But who am I speaking to?

And thus, this is not to prevent you from doing what you will, anyway.

In that case, I sincerely hope that you follow me

for the only "reason" that I write and tweet -

For no reason at all.

If this is not the case,

(and only you can know that)

my following is one of the few or many things

that is keeping you from the satisfaction or contentedness that you seek.

If that is indeed the case,

let these lines be yet another reminder

that you are wasting your life away one hyperlink at a time.

You are welcome.
