Movies do not move me that much these days.
I do not know if it is because
film makers are suffering through the same peril as the ordinary man
or is it because almost all relevant questions have been answered within me.
Not that long ago, I watched F1.
After the glamour of the video and the audio faded, one line remained in my mind -
What is it about?
It is a shame
very, very few consider this question.
(Would you not agree?)
But thank god
very, very few consider this question.
(I bet you disagree)
You see
it is not what man does that is relevant.
Before you guess-excited
it is not why he does it
that is relevant either.
It is WHAT TRULY man does.
That is truly relevant.
Confused?
I will use an example. A personal one.
Lu Xiaojun spent a good chunk of his life throwing heavy weights around.
I spent a good chunk of my life throwing heavy weights around.
Only one of us is Lu Xioajun.
Only one of us is God amongst men.
On paper
We both did the same thing.
On paper
We both did it because of the same reason.
But in truth
He and I did entirely different things
when we were around barbells and rubber-coated plates.
You see,
doing something is irrelevant.
Anyone can do anything.
That is the whole point of life.
That is also
the pointlessness of life.
On the other hand -
Doing something Truly is Godly.
Doing something Truly is Otherworldly.
Doing something Truly is to transcend life while still alive.
It is to kick any and all points or pointlessness of life in the teeth
and make the goddamn point about
one's short and ephemeral
existence.
Thank you.
