My mind runs and runs

Humans think they know.

Society corroborates this illusion.

But this is a joke. A lie. A shackle.

Because no matter what esteemed position one speaks from

or how celebrated and admired their persona,

the moment they began to speak,

their first two words are

often - "I think,..."

Because they think they know,

they become thoroughly convinced that

their thoughts will take them where They want to go.

They think their goals, plans, and aspirations are

more than enough, and by catering to them,

are "doing it how it is to be done"

But they miss the elephant in the room that

stares at them all their life,

until they are on their

death bed.

Yes, their thoughts do take them somewhere.

This "somewhere" is a place they think their way into all their life.

Their thoughts run and run.

They run and run to this "somewhere"

And even when they get there, they realize they are still running.

How can one get somewhere but still running?

Because this "somewhere" does not exist.

"Somewhere" is a constant striving, an illusionary destination,

a life long marathon towards a mirage.

They do not Arrive at the destination

where They were meant to go.

During the first two decades of my existence,

I tried my best to fit in.

I did what everyone did.

I studied, played, and socialized.

And I did a splendid job.

No one could tell. NO ONE.

It was not until I was in my early twenties,

that people started to notice that I was not normal.

They started labeling me in ways I did not fit the norm.

If we had met back then, I would have told you...

"Something just does not feel right."

Today, I know my response would not have revealed my deeper desire.

What I really would have wanted to say was...

"Things do not Feel how I Want them to feel."

Yes, dear friend.

Thoughts will make you run and run.

Wanting will make you Arrive.

And before you go,

"But what do I have to want?"

or checkmark a goal...

"I see, I must want to Arrive."

I will save you the trouble.

These puppet-like tendencies will keep you a puppet.

Your Problem is,

you like to think you are in control.

Did you read it properly?

You like. You think.

But...

You are not.

You are imprisoned.

A prison you cannot see, smell, or touch.

A prison, not for your Mind.

But for You.

Your whole life will pass by.

Your will reach your 60's and 70's.

And still, live doused in hopes and promises.

The above statements are no hyperbole.

They are true today.

And...

And what is True today in your life,

will be True for the rest of your life.

Thank you.
