Intelligence and Knowledge

All organisms are alive.

All organisms are intelligent.

The life in an organism and its intelligence

are separate entities.

The life in a seemingly dumb frog is no different than

the life in a seemingly intelligent human who can read this text

on one of his many "intelligent" devices.

The intelligence though is different.

The intelligence in a frog does not allow it to Know.

A frog does not Know that it is intelligent.

Its actions are the only proof

of the life and the intelligence that it is living as.

It is "programmed" once and for all to do what is done through it.

It cannot See or Understand its "source code".

It is destined to be a Frog for all its life.

All of this is because it cannot Know -

what it Knows and what it does not.

The intelligence in a human being is two-fold.

First, the base intelligence of that of other species,

which allows for all his basic actions and instincts.

Second, the Mind.

The Mind is the Reason why a human being

can do one thing that no other species can.

A human being can Know.

At any given point of time, only a human has the ability

to Know what he Knows and what he does not.

This difference makes humans the only species thus far,

that can rise above the intelligence he is bestowed with.

Yet...

very very few humans have Known.

very very few humans Know.

very very few humans will Know.

Why?

You see the second/higher fold/layer of intelligence

in a human being ends up being a barrier to

his ability to Know.

The second layer of the intelligence in a human,

the Mind,

ends up being his entrapment and a life-long escape from Life.

In that entrapment, all he does is serve his "intelligence",

which keeps him from leveraging the Mind to Know.

Is it not ironic?

The higher intelligence in humans causes

them to live a life very different,

and at the same time not that different from other species.

For a seemingly intelligent human

lives a dumb life collecting "knowledge" and "learning" like a dictionary,

or by being completely consumed in endeavors

of chasing illusionary prizes of money, status, and what have you,

or if nothing,

creating rules or silly games allowing him to play

hide-and-seek with his basic animal instincts.

No matter his

reason, justification, research, argument, debate, or analysis,

a seemingly intelligent human lives a life of not Knowing,

and like I said,

not that different from a seemingly dumb frog.

Thank you.
