When you "are happy"
but you are not
you will "be sad" soon
and seek to "be happy" again.
Pardon me if the above lines did not fully register to you.
For when it comes to the seemingly impossible feat of
putting things incomprehensible to the human Mind, in a comprehensible way,
I am learning the ropes myself.
I will try again.
Humans live in and as a giant loop.
This loop comprises many loops within it.
One such loop is the happiness <-> sadness loop.
When one says "I am happy", they are lying.
What they are really saying behind that lie is this -
"I do not know why I feel this way but I like it."
Soon, when they feel the other way,
their underlying statement changes to
"I do not know why I feel this way but I do not like it."
and on the surface their statement becomes -
"I am sad".
"I am happy", "I am sad", "I am anxious",
"I am bored", "I am excited" etc.
are things that humans latch on to way too soon.
Why they do this?
Because it is easy than breaking their statement down
and understanding what made them utter it.
Why they really do this?
This is a deeper question and I will get to in a while.
When explored, each statement immediately reveals the lie that it is.
"I am happy" in the world of Truth is simply a lie.
Why?
Because they have not been (yet),
The "am" in the first statement does not apply.
Because to "be happy" one has to first know/learn to "be".
Without that, they are simply jumping the gun.
How can one be "something", when they are yet to be?
And you know what
once one is able to be,
they will never announce their happiness,
sadness, excitement, or boredom.
They will just be.
This does not mean they will become an emotionless robot.
They will become a superior and heartful human.
But I digress for this is another avenue of Truth.
Now the answer to the second question, that is,
Why they really utter such statements?
Two main reasons.
One, their selves.
Second, their lack of seriousness.
When one is cruising as themselves, they do not realize many things.
At the root of all the things they do not realize,
sits the deepest realization about themselves!
(To keep a Tree from swerving to the vagaries of the wind
one may water and nourish it all they want,
but a mountain will be a mountain.)
The Truth about the self is this...
The grip of the self is much more death-like than death itself.
For the latter takes you in a more freeing way.
For it takes you once and for all.
The self's pleasureful torture is lifelong.
Poking you here and there, pulling you this way and that.
Illusions of happiness and sadness are one of
the many ploys that keeps a human
bound to his Self.
You are happy? Of course, because "you" are still here.
Illusions come and go.
The Moment stays.
Seriousness lies in realizing this
time and again.
Over and over again.
Christmas came and went by, the unserious human stayed unserious.
His happiness or sadness hightened briefly as he went back coasting to his life
of basking in happiness and sadness.
The serious human's experiences were deeper.
And he got more serious.
When one is serious, they start to question their statements that
they would otherwise utter reactively.
Day by day, month by month, year by year they start to
arrive at the other end.
Thank you.
